Find out about Aussie Fitouts and what it takes to customise your dream outlets
Scott Peatey, Managing Director at Aussie Fitouts, talks about Aussie Fitouts and the current challenges QSRs are facing when trying to fit out their stores.
QSR Media: Tell us about Aussie Fit outs and what makes it unique?
Scott Peatey: We are proud to be family owned with 14 years of operation behind our name and over 25 years industry experience. When founding the company I based our operation on what I believed to be strong fundamental philosophies, one of which was to not only to establish but maintain fantastic relationships with our clients. I am still involved in the day to day operations of the company and I am pleased to say these initial philosophies remain at our core and I attribute this as a factor in our success. We are small enough to care but big enough to deliver. I have always believed that the pathway to success is based upon placing importance on all facets of a project if we wanted to not only meet but exceed our clients expectations. As such I have built a strong, professional and dynamic team here at Aussie Fitouts in order to facilitate this. Operating our own Brisbane based manufacturing facility staffed with predominately full time employees provides greater control and we have established great relationships with regular contractors so we have a network of people we can rely on. We believe in relationships, collaboration and excellence and are proud to stand beside our name.
QSR Media: Tell us about your experience in the fast food and fast casual space?
Scott Peatey: We have worked with QSR operators over a very long period of time and consider the hospitality sector our speciality. I am lucky enough to have experience on both sides of the fence having previously owned and operated a business in the fast food casual space as well as currently being an owner operator of a restaurant. It is these experiences that give me a clear and current understanding of the requirements and pressures that our clients face and enables Aussie Fitouts to partner with QSR operators for their fitout journey.
QSR Media: What are some of the trends you are noticing?
Scott Peatey: The fast food and fast casual dining space has dramatically changed. QSR operators now have to be budget conscious, focussed on return on investment and ensure they keep in front of the competition with regards to design elements as the QSR consumer is now looking to pair a positive dining experience with a value for money meal.
